How to get a book published

It has been said that "everyone has at least one good book in them."

Ashwood House Publishing is dedicated to the publishing of books by new authors. We are looking for new authors who have some of these features of successful authors:

• A deep and detailed knowledge of their field

• A genuine passion for the topic

• A real-world understanding of what their potential audience wants to read. What are their problems? What are their needs?

• The ability to quickly research a topic and put together a preliminary outline / proposal

• The ability to write in a clear style

• The ability to write in an entertaining style that will sustain the attention of their readers

• The ability to devise interesting exercises or case illustrations to reinforce the text

• Fluency with the use of computers, the internet, work processing software

• An interest in developing their writing skills

• The ability to accept constructive criticism from editors, proof readers, reviewers and the general public

• A firm determination to write a book and see it through to publication

Clearly, we are not expecting everyone to have all of these qualities! But if you feel that these qualities describe you, then we want to hear from you!

Authors with existing complete (or nearly complete) manuscripts are welcome to submit them for consideration for publication.
